Terms of Service
1. The short version
Of All Places is an in-person event series in New York City, run by Sage Taber. By using this site or coming to a night, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. Who can take part
Our events are 21+ and venues may check ID at the door. You must be at least 18 to use this site, and you must confirm you're 21 or over to RSVP.
3. RSVPs and spots
An RSVP holds a spot for you, subject to capacity. When a night is full, later RSVPs go on a waitlist and we'll email you if a spot opens up. We may cancel, move, reschedule or change the format of an event, and we may decline or cancel an RSVP at our discretion. Your RSVP link is personal — please don't share it.
If an event ever carries a price, the price and any refund terms are shown at the time you RSVP. Tickets for anything run by a third party (for example a concert after our night) are bought from and refunded by that third party, not us.
4. Your answers and your group
The questions on the RSVP form are used to place you in a small group for the night, including with the help of an automated matching step. Please answer honestly and don't include anything you wouldn't want the host to read. Other guests never see your email address; group members see your first name and the note written for the group. How we handle all of this is set out in our Privacy Policy.
5. How to behave
These nights only work if everyone's decent to each other. No harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwanted advances or aggressive behaviour, in person or through anything you submit on this site. Respect the venue and its staff. We can ask anyone to leave an event, and remove anyone from the series, without a refund.
6. Photos and recording
We sometimes take photos at events. You tell us at RSVP whether you're comfortable appearing in them, and you can change your mind — tell the host on the night or email us and we'll leave you out or take the photo down.
7. What you submit
You keep ownership of anything you submit — answers, songs, stories, photos. By submitting it, you give us permission to use it to run the event and, where it's the kind of thing we'd publish (a short story about a night), to show it on this site with only a first name. Tell us and we'll take it down. Don't submit anything unlawful or anything that isn't yours to share.
8. Our site and brand
The site, its design, text and the Of All Places name belong to us. Please don't copy them, scrape the site, or try to break into parts of it that aren't yours.
9. Risk and liability
You come to events at your own risk and you're responsible for your own safety and belongings. We don't run background checks on guests and we can't vouch for anyone you meet — use normal good judgement, in person and afterwards. The site is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to this site or an event is limited to what you paid us for that event (which may be nothing), and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
